Ted Rubin and Brand Engagement

Sometimes we forget what a great network of friends, colleagues, and partners we have here at Leadtail. Yet, all we have to do is reach out to be reminded of the value of our network and the real power of social media. Meaning: how easy social media has made it to nurture and grow real relationships.

One example is our good friend Ted Rubin, who is the Chief Social Marketing Officer at Collective Bias and co-author of the book: Return on Relationship. We met Ted back in 2009 at a CMO roundtable dinner put on by Pete Krainik of the CMO Club. Since then, we’ve always made it a point to connect in person whenever Ted’s in town.

But we’re all busy people and can’t jet-set from coast to coast on a whim… so what’s the real way we stay in touch with Ted? Using Twitter. And in case you didn’t know it, Social Media Marketing Magazine consistently ranks Ted as the #1 CMO on Twitter. One reason is probably because he has over 120,000 followers and has tweeted over 130,000 times (yes, you read that right). You can follow him: @TedRubin. We do.

Upcoming interview on brand engagement

This week we caught up with Ted (via phone) to get his perspective on the job that brands are doing engaging consumers with social media, and learn more about his new book. Boy, did he have a lot to say! And guess what, we think he’s right on.

As a matter of fact, we’re turning our interview with Ted into an upcoming blog post and podcast where we’ll dive into topics like:
